THE COLLEGE OF AYURVEDA
The College of Ayurveda is an approved institute of the Middlesex University, London, and are the pioneers in offering degree qualifications in Ayurvedic Medicine in the UK. The following courses in Ayurveda are provided:
- BSc (Ayurveda)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine
- MSc (Ayurvedic Medicine)
- Advanced Diploma in Ayurveda for Medical doctors
Year 2005/2006 was a significant academic year for the College of Ayurveda (UK), it was a historic year for Ayurveda as it pioneered in introducing undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in the Europe. The next important objective in the strategic plan is to accelerate and facilitate an active research programme in Ayurveda in the UK and Europe. Dissemination of present research advancement, formulating a research policy and identifying research priorities are some of the activities under this objective. Multi Disciplinary approach is needed to achieve this target and we hope to bring in specialists from Ayurveda, Conventional Medicine, Scientists, Complementary Medicine and other fields to one forum to develop an extended programme of Ayurveda Research. Svastha International Ayurveda Conference (SIAC) is yet another milestone in this journey.
HIGH-LEVEL PROGRAMME
A high-level scientific programme will run across the two days. Similarly, for those working in clinical practice, students and for those who are new to Ayurveda will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge equally their practice. SIAC 2008 offers a lively and participative programme in which all delegates will find new and interesting topics relevant to their working practices.
